The WOW! Program would like to encourage all employees and students to participate our sustainability efforts.

 Environmental Recycling Center

They accept: 

·        Bi-metal cans

·        Glass bottles & jars (clean/without lids)

·        Aluminum cans, donated

·        Newspapers, magazines, office paper, and junk mail

·        #1 and #2 plastics only (milk jugs/soda bottles)

·        Cardboard

·        Scrap metal, white goods, and appliances containing refrigerant gasses

 

Odessa Recycling Center

They accept:

-        Cardboard (including food boxes such as cereal boxes) in the Yellow containers

-         Newspaper in the Blue containers

-         Mixed Paper (junk mail, paperback books, shredded paper, paper bags, shredded paper, office or school paper, chipboard)

-         Magazines, Phone books

-         #1 Plastic (clear water or soda bottles) in the Green containers

-         #2 Plastic (thick cloudy plastics such as milk jugs or laundry detergent containers in the Green containers

 What to do with medications you don't need anymore?

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) recommend disposing of unused or expired medication using the following methods: Drug Take-back Programs. These are certified drop-off sites that collect unwanted medications. To find a collection site near you, visit takebackday.dea.gov or look in the tabs below for local agencies. 

*It's smart to remove or black out any personal information on labels before disposal.
