To ensure that your name is pronounced correctly at Commencement, please complete the instructions listed below by 5 pm on Friday, May 5th.  The entire process will take approximately 30 seconds to complete. You do NOT have to call if you are not worried about the way your name will be read.

  1. Call 806-743-9055 (Assistant Professor Carolyn Perry)
  2. As soon as you hear a beep, begin speaking the following information on the voice mail:
    1.  Hello, my name is ________(first name) ________(last name)
    2. Say the degree you will be receiving – choose from the following:
      1. Doctor of Philosophy in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Ph.D.)
      2. Doctor of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Sciences (Ph.D.)
      3. Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy (ScDPT)
      4. Doctor of Audiology (AuD)
      5. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
      6. Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (tDPT)
      7. Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MSSLP)
      8. Master of Science in Molecular Pathology (MSMP)
      9. Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MSHA)
      10. Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT)
      11. Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS)
      12. Master of Athletic Training (MAT)
      13. Master of Rehabilitation Counseling (MRC)
      14. Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS)
      15. Post Baccalaureate of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science – 2nd Degree (CLS 2nd)
      16. Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences (SLHS)
      17. Post Baccalaureate of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences - 2nd Degree (SLHS)
      18. Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management (BSHM)
      19. Certificate in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS Certificate)
    3. I would like for you to say my name as ___________. Please say the name 3 times at a regular rate the way you would like it to be said at graduation. 
    4. Hang up.

    Note: If Ms. Perry has any additional questions about your name, she will e-mail you directly; otherwise she will make notations on your name card and be ready for the commencement ceremony 

     

If you are a graduate needing accommodations, or have a guest who needs accommodations, please be sure to complete the registration form in the Confirm Attendance tab. Accessible seating is available on the concourse level of the Arena. Each guest is allowed one person to sit with them in the accessible area. Other members of the family should be seated in the audience seating.

 

 Update Mailing and Diploma Addresses by May 1st, 2017.

Diplomas will not be released until the ceremony has concluded. Please note, your diploma will not be released to you if you have hold(s) on your account. 

 

Complete graduation application by February 1st, 2017.
