Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences

The Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences (GPPS) at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy in Amarillo, Texas is accepting applications from highly competent college graduates for admission into its Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Qualified candidates must have a four-year undergraduate degree and meet all additional requirements as listed on the GPPS prospective students page.

Ph.D. Program
The Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences is a competitive four- to five-year program that involves two years of coursework plus two to three years of research work in the biomedical and pharmaceutical aspects of drug development and discovery. Students may choose to do doctoral research in cancer biology & therapy, neuroscience, medicinal chemistry or drug delivery.
Besides availing excellent research environment; all accepted students are provided with Research/Teaching Assistantships and receive a yearly stipend of $25,000 along with partial (80-90%) tuition waivers. The Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences offers rigorous training that is critical to your success as a pharmaceutical scientist in academia and industry. Many alumni of the program are working professionally in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, government (FDA), and other research institutes.
