Wealth

TTUHSC compensation packages are designed to recruit, retain and reward talented team members. Benefits-eligible employees are automatically enrolled as members in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), a statewide pension plan, with automatic contributions by TTUHSC.

Compensation packages may include a combination of:

  • Base pay
  • Differential pay
  • Merit pay
  • Incentive pay
  • Performance rewards
  • State of Texas longevity pay, increasing every two years
  • State of Texas TRS (Teacher Retirement System) Retirement Program and other optional, supplemental retirement plans (403(b) or 457)

Leave

Our generous leave program includes a combination of many different types of paid leave. As a state agency, we enjoy a generous calendar of paid holidays annually, with 24 additional hours of holiday compensation time to be used according to the employee’s preferences. On top of that, team members accrue sick leave and vacation time each month and can carry forward these leave balances annually. 

  • Paid leave, including vacation and sick leave, with accrual increase after two years
  • 10-15 paid institutional holidays annually
  • Sick Leave Pool available to use when you or your immediate family are dealing with catastrophic illnesses or injuries
