Rx Summer Camp is a STEM-driven college-prep experience designed for rising 9th – 12th graders interested in learning more about the pharmacy profession. Hosted on both our Amarillo and Abilene campuses, this immersive camp offers hands-on projects, laboratory activities, simulations, field trips and engaging presentations. Discover the science behind medications and learn the key roles that pharmacists play in healthcare through activities led by TTUHSC School of Pharmacy professors and pharmacy students.

Cost:
$125 per camper

Includes:
- Lectures in healthcare, anatomy and pharmacy
- Laboratory activities that include making lip-balm & simulations in anatomy and pharmacy practice
- Simulated exercises to develop professional and leadership skills
- Fieldtrips to local pharmacy practice locations

Rx Summer Camp – Amarillo
June 23-25, 2025 | 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Cost:
$90 per camper

Includes:
- Laboratory activities such as compounding of sterile and nonsterile products
- Simulations and presentations in anatomy, pharmaceutical science, and practice
- Projects to explore pharmacy careers
- Tours of the Texas Pharmacy Museum and engagement with local pharmacies

Entry Fee and Registration

Fee covers tuition, lunch, a morning and afternoon snack, a t-shirt and all camp supplies. Maximum of 24 students per camp. Registration for camps is first come, first serve. Deadline to apply is May 30th.

To complete their registration, all campers must complete and return a program agreement form. This form can be uploaded with your application (click the apply box of your preferred campus).

About Pharmacy

Pharmacists are doctors who serve as the medication expert on the healthcare team. They can practice in many different settings including, but not limited to community pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, hospital floors in direct patient care, in out-patient clinics and in government facilities such as prisons and military bases.
