What We Do

TTUHSC is constantly seeking new ways to deliver best-in-class health care that improves the well-being of Texas and the world. Numerous multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary endeavors support our mission and vision by bringing together TTUHSC team members to pursue research, education and clinical activities.

Academic Schools & Programs

With six different school and multiple online programs, TTUHSC graduates more health care professionals than any other health care institution in the state, conferring 24.2% of all degrees and certificates awarded from health-related institutions in Texas.

Texas Tech Physicians

Texas Tech Physicians, the medical practice of TTUHSC, operates primary- and specialty-care clinics in the Amarillo, Canyon, Lubbock and Permian Basin communities.

Managed Care

The Managed Health Care program is a partnership with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to provide health services to approximately 30,000 patients in facilities across Texas.

TTUHSC Locations and Campuses

TTUHSC operates six schools and numerous facilities across the state, including Lubbock (our flagship campus), Amarillo, Abilene, Dallas/Mansfield, Midland and Odessa, and beyond.

As both an institution of higher learning and a place where real people come for life-saving medical care, TTUHSC’s service region covers 121 counties with an estimated population of just over 10 million people – about 30% of the state’s population.
