Speech-language pathologists specialize in prevention, identification, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
SLP students are expected to have completed the academic and clinical requirements for professional certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and are required to pass a comprehensive written examination or defend a thesis project
