If you are currently outside the United States or plan to depart the U.S. and do not have a valid visa for entry, you must obtain a new visa from a U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country before traveling to the U.S. For a complete list of required documents and application instructions, visit the official U.S. visa information website at www.ustraveldocs.com to choose the U.S. embassy or consulate where you will apply.

Common Visa Application Documents

  • Passport-style photo
  • Valid passport (at least 6 months beyond your intended stay)
  • Proof of financial support (e.g., bank statements, affidavit, scholarship/fellowship letter)
  • TTU admission letter (first-time TTU visa applicants only)
  • Form I-20 (with a valid travel signature for continuing students)
  • Academic transcripts (for current TTU students or prior U.S. study)

Note: Check local U.S. embassy or consulate websites, as application steps and additional document requirements may vary by location.
