This is a diverse course directed to a diverse audience of health care providers and community organizations across West Texas.

This conference is designed to:

      • Provide contacts for SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) nurses who are best equipped to handle the victim, patient victim support groups and resources.
      • Provide guidance for the healthcare team in recognizing trafficking patients and overcome barriers to recognizing and approaching the victim in confidence.
      • Discuss how to appropriately address mental health in sex trafficking victims.
      • Provide information for identifying situations that involve human sex trafficking victims and appropriate practices for helping and treating the victim/patient.
