January - Get Fit Texas state Agency Challenge

Will you accept the challenge?

The 2019 Get Fit Texas! State Agency Challenge is here, offering the chance for the state employees to get active. We want you to accept the challenge to participate in an agency-to-agency competition to see who can claim the title of the Fittest State Agency. By accepting the challenge, state employees strive to be physically active for 150 minutes per week for at least 6 of the 10 weeks of the challenge. All benefits eligible employees who successfully complete this challenge will be awarded 4 hours of time off!

Employees can register for the Get Fit Texas State Agency Challenge at https://getfittexas.org and start logging their physical activity time. The challenge runs from January 21, 2019 through March 31st, 2019. Click HERE for instructions for participating in the Challenge and navigating the new website.

In the spirit of friendly competition, DSHS will track the completion percentage for each state agency and recognize the agencies in each size category (small, mid-size & large) with the hightest completion percentages. Trophies and bragging rights will follow.
