Admission Requirements

Requirements for admission are flexible. There are no minimum GPA or test score requirements. All applications are reviewed in a holistic manner, with no single factor determining a student's admission.

Admission Requirements

  • An earned B.S. or B.A. degree in a natural science discipline, including at least one semester each of Organic Chemistry, Biology, and Biochemistry.

Admission Statistics

  • Average GPA of students offered admission is 3.37
  • Average GRE of students offered admission is over 306

Thompson Publication Selected for Journal of DNA and Cell Biology

Lea Ann Thompson completed her PhD from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center GSBS Cell and Molecular Biology concentration.

She received the following awards: AT&T Chancellor’s Award 2012-2016; Second Place Basic Science Category, LWBWHI, Gender Specific Women’s Health Symposium, TTUHSC, 2012; First Place, LWBWHI, Gender Specific Women’s Health Symposium, TTUHSC, 2013; Awarded American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship, 2015-2016.

Thompson's latest publication was published in August 2018. Sertoli cells engineered to express insulin lower blood glucose in diabetic mice. Published in the Journal of DNA and Cell Biology. MORE
