What is EDME?

Early Dedication to Medical Education (EDME) is an outreach program designed to expose individuals to the possibility of a career in medicine. Anyone interested in becoming a physician is welcome.

EDME sessions are hosted at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) throughout the school year.  These sessions include monthly presentations on different topics designed to help participants along their journey to medicine.

How do I become a part of EDME?

It’s easy! Just come to any of the sessions – they’re open to all high school students, parents, teachers, counselors, college students, administrators, and anyone who has an interest in medicine. You may also e-mail our office at somadm@ttuhsc.edu.

When do EDME sessions take place?

EDME sessions will be held from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM on the dates below.  Sessions will be held in-person at TTUHSC and virtually on Zoom.

Sessions, registration and details are pending for 2026-2027.
