- Available Now, Be Proactive - For your convenience Windows 11 upgrade, via self service portal on ManageEngine
- August 30, 2025 - University goal for TTUHSC Windows 10 computers to be upgraded to Windows 11
- October 14, 2025 - Microsoft Windows 10 End of Life
After October 14, 2025 - Microsoft will cease providing security updates, technical support, and feature updates for Windows 10.
We highly recommend that all users initiate the upgrade process as soon as possible to ensure a seamless transition and minimize any potential disruptions.
- Check Your Device Compatibility – Ensure your device meets Windows 11 system requirements. Check with your department's property custodian or contact the IT Solution Center.
- Prepare for the Upgrade, Back Up Your System – Make sure that critical and important files are backed up to your BOX account.
- Plan Your Upgrade –Upgrades will be scheduled for departments and may take several hours. Avoid unplanned delays and upgrade at your convenience via ManageEngine Self Service Portal.
- If your device is incompatible with Windows 11, please reach out to your IT team for upgrade options or device replacement guidance.
FAQ's
Monthly reports have been sent to property custodians. You can reach out to your property custodian to determine the Windows version of your device. However, the TTUHSC IT Solution Center has developed some steps so that you can quickly check your device.
Your departments Property Custodians have access to monthly reports detailing the Windows version of each device. Please reach out to your Property Custodian for questions about Windows version and compatibility.
Before you attempt to update you'll need to confirm that your device is Windows 11 Compatible and that all-important files are backed up.
When you are ready to update the TTUHSC IT Solution Center has developed step-by-step instructions to install Windows 11 from the ManageEngine Self Service Portal.
In the event that your device is not compatible with Windows 11, you can speak to your property custodian to see if your department has any Windows 11 devices that they can assign to you.
If they do not have a device available, you will need to contact the person in your department in charge of purchasing.
