I chose Tech because of the wonderful experience I had on my interview day. Students here seemed genuinely happy and excited to study medicine, and I could tell that Tech is a school that cares about students and will invest in them to ensure that they succeed.

TTUHSC-Lubbock School of Medicine feels like a genuine community from the start. Not only are the professors/faculty incredibly approachable and kind, they are passionate about helping you become a competent and compassion-driven physician. You don’t go unnoticed here, and when you need encouragement to keep pressing forward amidst difficulty, it is quickly found in your classmates and the medical school leadership.

I chose TTUHSC School of Medicine for two main reasons. I love the collaborative and supportive environment between fellow students and faculty and the excellent training for people like myself seeking a career in primary care in west Texas.

I love how friendly everyone is and that my classmates are here for me. The school puts us first and gives us the resources needed to succeed!

As a student of the TTU Honors College, I wanted to stay in my hometown and the TTU system, and I was given the wonderful opportunity to apply for the Early Acceptance Program. Also, West Texas is home to me, and I want to stay in the West Texas panhandle to serve these communities.

I chose TTUHSC- Lubbock School of Medicine because I ultimately loved the culture and sense of community that I felt when I talked to the students and faculty.

I chose to attend TTUHSC School of Medicine because of the proximity to my hometown and my family. Additionally, I chose this institution because of my love for the people of the area, a population that I can identify with and can better understand their needs.

I chose TTUHSC SOM because of the incredible community and people who made me feel like family, from my first year of undergrad at TTU to now. Everywhere I turned, there was a friendly face waiting for me and I couldn't think of a better institution to further my education.

I wanted to spend my time while in medical school in a collaborative environment and where familial culture was prevalent. After interviewing here, the DA's and Tech students made me feel as though Texas Tech was my home.

The virtues of family and brotherhood are present throughout the class, something that I felt was missing in my undergraduate. I feel like my peers, instructors, and deans want me to succeed and reach my potential, which is what I wanted the most in a medical school.

I chose TTUHSC SOM because I was drawn to the strong service-oriented culture and the welcoming environment present here.

At my interview day, I connected with TTUHSC SOM's values of giving back to the community and fostering a collaborative culture. I chose TTUHSC-Lubbock School of Medicine because my interview day experience convinced me it was a program that would support me in my endeavors to grow as a physician and individual. This impression becomes more of a reality with each new week of my medical education.

I really appreciated how TTUHSC School of Medicine is invested in creating an environment where students work collaboratively to push each other forward. The administration also builds a community that nurtures the values that I want as a future physician - excellence, collaboration, and compassion.

I chose TTUHSC SOM because of the strong sense of community and support the school, faculty, and its student body has. Everyone at this school is here to help and push each other to become better physicians for our future patients.

Ideally, I wanted my medical school education to be in an institution with excellent academics combined with an environment that has a strong sense of community where collaboration and camaraderie coexist. I chose TTUHSC School of Medicine because it embodies those ideals!

TTUHSC SOM staff members and students create a community environment that fosters healthy learning and genuine relationships. This results in every student being encouraged and challenged to pursue excellence throughout their medical school career, which I highly value.

Through the multiple dual degree programs and variety of organizations, TTUHSC SOM does a great job of making sure everyone has a place. The students and faculty here are so supportive and create a welcoming environment.

I really love the culture and support system this school provides to its students. It is also close to home for me which is a big plus.

From the day I interviewed here, the faculty and students made me feel like I was already a part of their community, which made me excited to continue my path in pursuing medicine at TTUHSC.
