Celeste Caballero, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for children and families. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and her Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Dr. Caballero is actively involved in organized medicine and physician advocacy. She served on the Texas Medical Association's Council on Legislation for seven years, culminating her service as the council's Vice Chair. She is a member of both the Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics and previously served, by gubernatorial appointment, on the District 3 Review Committee of the Texas Medical Board.
Throughout her career, Dr. Caballero has served in numerous leadership roles, including Chief of Pediatrics at San Angelo Community Medical Center and President of both the Concho Valley County Medical Society and the Lubbock County Medical Society.
Her clinical interests include health equity and expanding access to care for underserved populations. She is currently developing a pediatric service line at the Larry Combest Community Health & Wellness Center, where she practices primary care pediatrics. Dr. Caballero is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she provides patient care while teaching medical students and residents.
Dr. Caballero is passionate about advancing children's health, improving access to quality pediatric care, and advocating for patients and the medical profession.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
