Clare Meernik

Research Assistant Professor

Dr. Meernik is a PhD-trained epidemiologist and Research Assistant Professor at the Kenneth H. Cooper Institute at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, with an adjunct appointment at Duke University School of Medicine. Her research examines lifestyle factors, including physical activity and cardiorespiratory fitness, in relation to chronic disease prevention, cancer outcomes, and healthy aging.

She has served as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on multiple internally and externally funded studies in cancer epidemiology and survivorship and tobacco control. Dr. Meernik has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and presented over 45 abstracts at national conferences.
