Dr. Flores has over 35 years of experience in the medical field specifically in nursing, healthcare management and public health. Her experiences range from working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in an acute care setting to manager of state and federal programs at the community level and federally qualified health centers. Her expertise includes grant writing, program implementation, program evaluation, healthcare transformation, rural health, patient navigation and chronic disease management. With over 20 years of experience in community outreach and education Dr. Flores has been instrumental in building the cadre of CHWs in Lubbock and surrounding areas. In her current position, she is an Assistant Professor in the School of Health Professions’ Master of Science in Healthcare Administration department.
