Taught elementary school (learning-disabled, gifted and talented, dyslexia) for 15 years before completing the Second Degree BSN program through Texas Tech in 2009. Worked as a critical care nurse (full-time and prn) through 2015. Joined the TTUHSC Second Degree program as retention counselor in 2011. Completed a Masters in Nursing degree and became faculty/retention counselor in 2013. Currently serve as retention counselor for the San Antonio ABSN site, lead faculty for Synthesis (ABSN) and Health Intervention Design (RN-BSN). Working toward DNP at Eastern Kentucky University.
