I was raised in Midland, Texas. After medical training I returned to Midland and had a private Internal Medicine practice until 2015. I also served as the medical director of a local hospice organization for 13 years. In 2014 I helped establish a clinic/hospital in Rural Uganda. In 2015 I left Midland to work full time as the director of the Uganda clinics. I returned to Midland in 2021 and decided to end my medical career by teaching at the Texas Tech Internal Medical residency program.
