I began my nursing career in 2015 after earning my ADN and RN license. Initially, I practiced in outpatient women’s health, where I developed a strong foundation in patient education and advocacy. Just at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, I transitioned into school nursing, serving both high school and elementary populations. This experience further shaped my passion for health promotion, communication, and meeting patients and families where they are. I earned my BSN in 2017, my MSN in Nursing Education in 2021, and my DNP in Education from Arkansas State University in 2026. I am passionate about preparing first-semester nursing students for safe, confident practice. My scholarly interests include active learning strategies, health literacy, health equity, psychological safety in education, and advancing nursing education through innovative and supportive teaching practices.
