Jodi Fry is an assistant professor in the TUG program at TTUHSC, Abilene campus. Before TTUHSU, she taught at Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing in Abilene, Texas. She became a licensed vocational nurse 1994 from Cisco Junior College in Abilene, Texas. Jodi received her Associate Degree of Science in Nursing from Cisco Junior College in 1995, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hardin Simmons University in 2003, and her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Hardin Simmons University in 2018. Jodi earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Texas at Tyler in May 2025.
She has thirty-one years of nursing experience, which ranges from medical-surgical, gastroenterology, dialysis, and the past eleven years in hospice. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, and the Texas Nurses Association.
Jodi is married to her husband, Rusty. Together, they have four sons, one daughter-in-law, nine grandchildren, one great-grandson, and five fur babies. Jodi enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play baseball and football. She is involved in activities within her church. Jodi and her husband enjoy traveling and visiting with friends/family.
