Krystal Humphreys is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas. She has worked as a high school teacher and counselor in schools. Her clinical counseling experience includes work with survivors of sex trafficking, non-suicidal self-injury, children and adolescents in partial‑hospitalization, career counseling, and women's issues.
She has published numerous research articles on human trafficking, non‑suicidal self‑injury, and resiliency among adolescents in military families. In her areas of practice, she works with various clients who require both trauma informed care and career counseling. Her research interests include generational changes among children and adolescents and their relation to sex‑trafficking vulnerability; how family response impacts recovery from non-suicidal self-injury; the effects of military life on adolescent mental health; and how career choice is impacted by trauma.
