Dr. Chastain is an Associate Professor in Ambulatory Care at the Texas Tech University HSC School of Pharmacy, Dallas/Fort Worth Campus. Her practice site is at the Fort Worth Outpatient Clinic with the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS). At her practice site Dr. Chastain focuses care in drug therapy management in the area of diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and coronary artery disease. Dr. Chastain has been awarded as DFW Preceptor of the Year multiple times (2008-2009, 2012-2014 2025) by the students of TTUHSC SOP. In 2012 Dr. Chastain was recognized by TTUHSC as the Excellence in Leadership Distinguished Alumni and was a member of the P3 Teaching Team of the Year (2013-2014 & 2016-2017) and the P2 Teaching Team of the Year (2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23) & P1 Teaching Team of the Year (2022-23). She also serves as the Division Head for the Ambulatory Care Division for JHH SOP.
