Michele Marjorie Mahr

Dr. Michele M. Mahr, PhD, CRC, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling in the Clinical Counseling and Mental Health Department within the School of Health Professions at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She has published over 15 peer-reviewed publications, and three edited textbooks on topics related to substance abuse, mental health, addiction, and counseling. Dr. Mahrs’ research primarily focuses on homelessness, mindfulness, addiction, substance abuse, and positive psychology within both the rehabilitation counseling and mental health disciplines. Dr. Mahr has presented at the local, state, and international levels on topics specifically focused on overall wellness, addiction, and positive psychology when working with individuals with substance abuse issues.
