I am Dr. Pricilla Wyatt, a member of the Level 4 team. My teaching experience includes pathophysiology and advanced medical-surgical nursing. I have been a nurse for 25 years with clinical experience in cardiac critical care. While working at the bedside of critically ill patients, I often trained newly hired nurses and various students from the area.
I am an alumnus of ACU (’00), where I received my BSN through Abilene Intercollegiate SON. After 16 years at the bedside, I got my MSN in nursing education at the University of Texas at Arlington. After 8 years of teaching, I completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice, specializing in Executive Nursing Leadership from ACU Dallas. I am also certified as a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNEcl) through the NLN.
I have taught for a total of 12 years in nursing education, taking on a special love for simulation and clinical. I love seeing the lightbulb go off through kinesthetic learning and using my gift of 16 years of clinical experience to share with my students.
I choose to be a nurse educator to empower students and help them be successful and the safest nurse possible.
I live in Abilene, Texas with my husband and two teenage sons and teach in the children’s ministry at Highland Church of Christ. In my spare time, you will find me walking or playing with my dog and attending any and all sporting events!
