Dr. Priscila Reid is an associate professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center – School of Nursing and is a nurse practitioner at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas within the section of cardiology. Dr. Reid joined the Texas Tech faculty in the graduate school of nursing in 2014 to develop, design, and implement program curriculum for the acute care pediatric nurse practitioner program. She was integral in the development of a formal partnership between Texas Tech and Texas Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Reid's clinical practice focuses on caring for children with heart disease, including those in critical, neonatal, emergency, and acute care areas as well as outpatient cardiology clinic. She practices at Texas Children's Hospital, Houston, Texas. Her passions and interests include training, educating, and mentoring advanced practice providers as well as advanced practice governance structure, professionalism and communication, APRN curriculum development and legislative advocacy.
