Rachael Holder is a nursing instructor in the BSN Traditional Undergraduate Program and is certified as a nurse educator (CNE) through the National League for Nursing. She is currently the Director of NCLEX Success and Readiness for the Undergraduate Nursing Programs and the Lubbock campus facilitator for NURS 4407 Nursing Care of Families with Children. She serves as the AACN Essentials Champion for the Undergraduate Department. She also assists in other courses as needed. Since her initial appointment with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, she has held the position of Curriculum Coordinator, and facilitated the courses of Pharmacology, Core Concepts of Nursing, and Integrated Learning III. She has also functioned as course faculty for Health Promotions, Integrated Learning I, and Leadership. Rachael obtained her BSN from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2010 and an MSN in Nursing Education in 2020 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She is enrolled in doctoral studies through Arkansas State University, pursuing a DNP in Nursing Education. Rachael's clinical work focused on antepartum, labor and delivery, newborn nursery, maternal-fetal ICU, postpartum, and pre and post-operative nursing. She began as a clinical adjunct in 2014 for the Western Oklahoma State College (WOSC) Department of Nursing and became the Clinical Coordinator for the college in 2018. There, she simultaneously functioned as assistant director, assisting with the development of a concept-based curriculum for the program. While at WOSC, she also served on the Curriculum Committee and sat on the advisory board for multiple clinical partnership sites. Her current service for TTUHSC SON involves membership in the Scholarship Committee, and she is the Leadership Succession Chair for the Texas Nurses Association District 18.
