Dr. David Shane Harper is a Physician Assitant and Faculty Associate for the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center Department of Surgery. Dr. Harper has 12 years experience working in trauma/critical care and is the current Surgical ICU Director for Northwest Texas Hospital. In 2017 Dr. Harper was named the PA of the year for the state of Texas. He is also the recipient of a $40,000 grant from the Sid Richardson Foundation. This grant is being used to fund a Tele-Trauma program benefitting the rural communities of the Texas Panhandle, and increasing the quality of care in trauma-related incidents.
