Dr. Hunt is an Associate Professor in the Department of Healthcare Management & Leadership at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She has over 30 years of experience working in healthcare, where she has held various executive leadership roles, including hospital CEO and CFO, and financial director of a community health center. She has served as an interim CFO and financial consultant for numerous healthcare organizations throughout the state.
Dr. Hunt is a Fellow and Board Certified Healthcare Executive (FACHE) through the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and currently serves as the Immediate Past-President and the Treasurer of the ACHE of Texas Midwest Chapter. She is also a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) through the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). She is an advocate for rural health and routinely works with rural hospital leaders across the state to improve financial reimbursement and comply with various reporting requirements.
