I was born in Kashmir and graduated from the prestigious, sole medical school in the region. After completing my medical degree, I moved on to finish my residency at Boston University Medical Center and then pursued a fellowship at Albany Medical Center. I have spent six years practicing endocrinology in Maine, where I gained extensive experience in managing thyroid disease and thyroid cancers, and developed expertise in performing thyroid biopsies and ultrasounds.
In addition to my clinical work, I have authored multiple articles and publications, with citations exceeding 100. I’m passionate about teaching and enjoy working with residents and medical students. Currently, I’m mentoring a medical student during their Internal Medicine clerkship and also guiding students through research projects. In my current position, I continue to expand my knowledge and pursue my passion for both patient care and medical education.
