Steve Paul Sales

Dr. Stephen Sales joined the faculty of TTUHSC in July 2023. He has taught healthcare leadership, operations, quality improvement, comparative health systems, research methods, statistics, organizational behavior, and financial management for a combined six years at three institutions. He completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1990 from the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration degree in 1992 from Indiana University. Stephen received his Doctor of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2021. He began his career in healthcare in 1992 with the United States Air Force and served in that capacity for 21 years in various leadership roles, culminating with the position of executive director for practice management for 140 clinics worldwide. After retiring from the Air Force, Stephen worked in private physician practices for medical, surgical, and radiation oncology before transitioning into academic medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where he established and managed multi-disciplinary, collaborative programs treating high-acuity, low-volume patients in solid-organ transplant, pancreas and liver conditions, and colorectal and pelvic defects.
