For the past 45 years I have dedicated my life to children’s’ health as both a practicing pediatrician and a researcher on the both sides of the planet. I began my career in Ukraine where, after earning an MD and a PhD, I attained the prestigious degree of Doctor of Medical Science, and worked as a professor at Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy.
After immigrating to the US, I again worked my way up the professional ladder by completing a post-doctoral fellowship, a pediatric residency, and a nephrology fellowship. I am now a professor of Pediatrics at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology.
