I have been a Registered Nurse for several years. I worked full-time in the Adult Emergency Department, was the Nurse Manager of NeuroSurgical unit and opened the Epileptic Monitoring department for seizure patients at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock Texas as well as the Stroke Center of Excellence on HC5 NeuroSurgical Unit. I came into Academia in 2011 and have been teaching, facilitating courses and taking students into the clinical setting locally and internationally since my TTUHSC School of Nursing employment began. I am Board Certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Medical Surgical Nursing.
