Welcome to our site, take some time, and explore around. The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center's Odessa campus is growing continuously. Our newest building, the academic classroom building, showcases our continued growth. This facility has approximately 51,000 square feet; it houses the Medical Center Hospital Foundation Conference Center, research labs, classrooms, and administrative offices.
This TTUHSC regional campus, located in Odessa, is a graduate medical education site and now is home to residencies in Internal Medicine, Family and Community Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as clinical rotations and patient care in the departments of General Surgery, Psychiatry, and Pediatrics.
We provide medical education to third and fourth-year medical students in all six core specialties, including family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and surgery.
One of our key offerings is that medical students and resident physicians receive a large amount of personal attention from our faculty in an intimate educational setting.

Education
Our institution offers a robust and comprehensive graduate medical education portfolio designed to train the next generation of physicians across multiple specialties. Our Family & Community Medicine residency includes 69 positions, complemented by 51 Internal Medicine residency slots and 16 positions in General Surgery. Within Internal Medicine, we support advanced subspecialty training through fellowships in Endocrinology (4 slots), Pulmonary Medicine (4 slots), Cardiology (6 slots), and Critical Care (4 slots). Our Obstetrics & Gynecology residency includes 16 positions, while Psychiatry offers 32 residency slots along with a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Looking ahead, we are expanding our educational footprint with the launch of a Pediatrics residency program in July 2028, beginning with 4 PGY-1 positions and growing to 12 total slots at full capacity. Collectively, these programs reflect our commitment to high-quality, multidisciplinary training that meets the evolving healthcare needs of our region.
Research is a foundational component of our educational mission. Residents and fellows are actively engaged in scholarly activities, supported by dedicated research infrastructure, mentorship from experienced faculty, and opportunities to contribute to clinical, translational, and community-based research initiatives that advance patient care.
