BCE, OB-GYN Help Heal the City Effort

Volunteers from the Breast Center of Excellence and the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology participated in a free health screenings event.

Volunteers from the TTUHSC Breast Center of Excellence (BCE) and the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology participated in a free health screenings event organized April 26 by Heal The City at the Amarillo YMCA Midtown location.

The TTUHSC volunteers offered free screenings for mammograms, pap tests and cervical cancers in support of BCE’s ABC²4WT (Access to Breast and Cervical Care For West Texas) grant from the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas. SimCentral’s MobileSim was on site to provide the private examinations for those who qualified. To find out more about the ABC²4WT program, please visit http://abc4wt.org.
