Business Announcements for the week of 7/31-8/6/2011 - El Paso Inc.


The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded local Aliviane Inc. a $809,555 federal grant as part of a homeless prevention initiative, part of $60 million in homeless prevention grants that will provide relief to 22,000 homeless and at-risk veteran families across the nation.
Aliviane provides behavioral health intervention, treatment and education services to the community with several locations throughout the area.

Neurogastroenterology Motility accepted publication of “Two-Channel Gastric Pacing in Patients with Diabetic Gastroparesis,” an original article co-authored by Richard W. McCallum, M.D., professor and chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at TTUHSC Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. Irene Sarosiek, M.D., Ph,D., associate professor and director of GI Motility Neurostimulation Research at TTUHSC, was also a co-author.
