"When our parents were growing up, if they were driving down the road and saw somebody running they would look behind them to see who was chasing them. Ken Cooper changed all that with aerobics, the fitness movement, and so he took exercise from being something you did as a recreation to something physicians use as a tool for treating and preventing disease," says Dr. President Tedd Mitchell, president of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
