The board of the Development Corporation of Abilene Tuesday agreed to hire a consultant to look into the biotech industry, including creating a marketing and public relations plan.

The DCOA is pursuing opportunities to work more closely with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy and its Center of Excellence for Immunotherapeutic Research and Product Development to provide biotechnology to private companies.
