Deans’ Wall Unveiling Honors School of Nursing Leadership
Three former Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Nursing deans and current dean, Michael L. Evans, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, unveiled the new Deans’ Wall, which honors the history of School of Nursing leadership. All School of Nursing deans delivered their unique perspectives on the growth and progress of the school and encouraged the current faculty and leadership to continue advancing and expanding the nursing profession.
Dean Evans acknowledged the incredible work forged by his predecessors and recalled being humbled by the enormous “shoes he had to fill” upon accepting the TTUHSC School of Nursing dean position.
“My predecessors as dean of the TTUHSC School of Nursing have left a legacy of success and honor,” Evans said. “I’m proud to introduce a lasting tribute to their many contributions to the school, since its very beginning.”
The wall includes a portrait, biography and brief summary of accomplishments while leading the School of Nursing as dean for each member of the Deans’ Wall.
