In the past, more than 200 people have attended the Farmer's Market.

The TTUHSC Farmer’s Market, sponsored by the Garrison Institute on Aging, and Workplace Overall Wellness (WOW!) is back by popular demand on Lubbock's main and southwest campuses.

The program designed to provide easier access to fresh produce provided by local farmers.

Faculty, staff and students may purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 11 and 15, Aug. 8 and 22, and Sept. 5 and 19, in the main campus Academic Classroom Building courtyard; and July 10, 17, 24, and 31, Aug. 7, 14, 21 and 28, and Sept. 4 and 11, at the Southwest campus, southwest field.

Produce, dependent on availability, includes:

  • Apples
  • Plums
  • Peaches
  • Lettuce
  • Cilantro
  • Yellow squash
  • Potatoes
  • Zucchini
  • Honey
  • Peppers
  • Onions
  • Broccoli
  • Mint
  • Spinach
  • Korabi (member of the cabbage family)
  • Squash
