Fitch Rates El Paso County, Texas Series 2012 COs 'AA'; Outlook Stable - MarketWatch

Fitch Ratings assigns a rating of 'AA' to the following certificates of obligation (COs) of El Paso County, Texas (the county):

University and medical sectors provide a stabilizing influence to the local economy traditionally based in agriculture, tourism and manufacturing. The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Paul L. Foster Medical School (recent $60 million investment), the El Paso County Hospital District, including the University Medical Center (recent $150 million expansion) and El Paso Children's Hospital are anchor tenants of the Medical Center of the Americas, located within a 440 acre downtown medical complex. The newly opened Children's Hospital represents a $120 million investment which generated 400 new jobs.
