Free Physicals Offered For Scouts

WHAT: Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin will be offering free physicals for any registered Boy Scouts and scouters who need an exam to participate in scouting activities.

WHEN: 9 a.m., Saturday (April 6)

WHERE: Texas Tech Physicians Odessa — Family Medicine, 701 W. 5th St., Odessa

EVENT: Texas Tech Physicians Odessa has teamed up with the Buffalo Trail Council of the Boy Scouts to offer free physicals for registered scouts and scouters for more than 10 years. The program was set up by Randall Kelly, M.D., as a way to give back to the Permian Basin community. Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center residents now participate in the free clinic, because of the popularity of the program.

Scouts and scouters interested in receiving a free physical must call the Buffalo Trail Council at (324) 570-7601 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins will not be seen. A copy of your medical history and immunization record must be brought to your appointment.
