Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing to Host First Commencement Ceremony

Editor's note: The media should arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. for interviews with students and Founding Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing Dean Jeanne Novotny, Ph.D., R.N. Interviews will not be possible once the ceremony begins promptly at 2 p.m. The ceremony will take about an hour and a half and a reception follows. Interviews may be done before or after the ceremony.

What: The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing (GGHSON) will host its first commencement ceremony.

When: 2 p.m., Saturday (Dec. 14)

Where: Plaza Theatre, 125 Pioneer Plaza, Downtown El Paso

Event: Sixty-five nurses from the inaugural classes of the TTUHSC GGHSON second degree and traditional bachelors of nursing programs will participate in the school's first commencement ceremony. Keynote speaker for the event is Nancy Neal, member of the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents.
