Grad Student Earns Travel Award

The American Society of Microbiology (ASM) recently selected Anwar Hossain, a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Pharmacy’s Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, to receive the ASM Student and Postdoctoral Travel Award AAR to attend ASM Microbe 2018. The event is scheduled for June 7-11 in Atlanta. Award recipients are selected based upon the scientific quality of the submitted abstracts. The award funding is intended to help defray travel costs to the event.
Hossain currently works as a research assistant in the School of Pharmacy’s Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the laboratory of Nadia German, Ph.D.
