In March, five members of the Kappa Psi – Epsilon Tau chapter from TTUHSC’s Abilene campus traveled to the Kappa Psi Southwest Province Assembly in Norman, Oklahoma and received the organization’s prestigious 99 Hands Award. The award recognizes the best philanthropic event from the region, which includes Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado.

Second-year pharmacy student Christie Baker, who serves as Kappa Psi Epsilon’s vice regent, said the recognition was special for the Abilene chapter.

“This award was judged based on number of brothers involved, number of community members serviced and best promotion of the pharmacy profession,” Baker said. “We are extremely proud to be honored with this award, especially since we are such a small chapter.”
