Kidnapping Victim, School of Medicine Dean to Sign Book about Experience
WHAT: Steven L. Berk, M.D., Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) executive vice president and provost and dean of the School of Medicine, will sign copies of his new book, “Anatomy of a Kidnapping, A Doctor’s Story.”
WHEN: 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 10)
WHERE: Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 6002 Slide Road (South Plains Mall)
EVENT: This book describes Berk’s real-life encounter with a dangerous and armed criminal who kidnapped him from his Amarillo home. It also is a story about doctors and their training, the Aequanimitas principle, mistakes and life and death.
