Local organization awarded $1.5M grant - ConnectAmarillo.com

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center plans to expand its services to women in the Texas Panhandle after being awarded a $1.5 million grant.

The Breast Cancer of Excellence (BCE) at Texas Tech in Amarillo applied for the grant from The Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas, and according Texas Tech Physician Rakhsanda Rahman the grant is an elite award.
