Lori Rice-Spearman Appointed President of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents and Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., announced today (June 5) the official appointment of Lori Rice-Spearman, Ph.D., as the ninth president of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC).

Rice-Spearman, a native of Odessa, Texas, becomes not only the first female president in TTUHSC’s 51-year history, but also in the history of all four universities within the TTU System.
