Love, Protect, Immunize: Discounted Child Vaccinations Offered
Since 1994, National Infant Immunization Week has served as a way to highlight the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases.
In recognition of National Infant Immunization Week, the City of Lubbock Health Department, TTUHSC Department of Pediatrics and the Community Health Center of Lubbock will offer discounted child immunizations.
The immunizations will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. at the South Plains Mall, 6002 Slide Road, between JC Penney and The Pretzel Maker on April 26. Immunizations will be given to children ages 2 months to 18 years. The costs of the immunizations are $10 for one vaccine and $15 for two or more vaccines.
Medicaid and Chip will be accepted. No child will be refused immunizations due to an inability to pay. A complete shot record is required at the time of the immunizations. If a shot record cannot be presented, immunizations will not be given.
National Infant Immunization Week is an annual observance to highlight the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases and celebrate the achievements of immunization programs and their partners in promoting healthy communities. Since 1994, National Infant Immunization Week has served as a call to action for parents, caregivers and health care providers to ensure that infants are fully immunized against 14 vaccine-preventable diseases.
