Lubbock Nurse Practitioner Luncheon

WHAT: The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, in conjunction with Nurse Practitioner Week, Nov. 11-17, will host a luncheon honoring local nurse practitioners.

WHEN: 11:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m., Thursday (Nov. 15)

WHERE: International Cultural Center, 601 Indiana Ave.

EVENT: This year’s keynote speaker will be nurse practitioner Rosalinda Jimenez. In addition, the South Plains Nurse Practitioner Association will present the award to the 2012 Outstanding Nurse Practitioner for the South Plains.

A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who has advanced education and clinical training in a health care specialty. Currently there are more than 155,000 nurse practitioners nationwide.
